Start with a coarser grit and work finer for the best results. Use 80 grit for heavy calluses and corns. Use 100 grit for general rough skin removal. Use 180 grit for moderate skin smoothing and all-round treatment. Use 240 grit for fine smoothing after callus removal. Use 320 grit for final polishing and sensitive skin. Sponge (PDFB) pads are designed for the final polishing step to achieve long-lasting smoothness.

Standard PODODISC pads (PDF series) are thin files without a foam layer, providing direct contact between the abrasive and the skin for efficient material removal. Foam-base pads (PDFS series) include a 1mm soft foam layer that cushions the abrasive against the skin. The foam layer reduces pressure on the foot, provides shock absorption, and allows a tighter fit to curved surfaces. Foam pads are ideal for sensitive skin, gentle finishing work, and areas where comfort is a priority.

PODODISC pads are strictly single-use — one pad per client. After the procedure, peel the used pad off the disc and place it in a covered waste bin. Dispose of with general salon waste according to your local council regulations. Never attempt to wash, disinfect, or reuse a disposable pad, as this compromises both hygiene and abrasive performance. Store unused pads in their original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
